My Celebrant Story

I'm Hazel, your Wedding and Family celebrant, and the only person you'll deal with in regards to your ceremony from the first idea, to delivering the ceremony itself.

A born romantic and chick-lit novel junkie, you might say becoming a wedding celebrant was always on the cards.

I strongly believe that no two weddings, or ceremonies should be the same, and the great thing about working with me is that we can create something that is completely unique to you, and wonderful.

Whether that means creating an enchanted oasis woodland themed wedding with fairy lights and butterflies, or a friends themed ceremony complete with costumes and quotes.

The possibilities are as wild as your imagination.

Together we will create a spectacular ceremony that provides you with a lifetime of magical memories.

A little more about me

I always knew I wanted to be a writer.

I was reading flash cards by 9 months old, and spent my childhood reading every story I could so it came as no surprise to anyone when I headed off to uni to study Creative Writing ( although I'm yet to complete that novel I always said would be a best seller before I hit 30, I'm now 32, whoops!  )

After uni I  worked extensively in the marketing and social media industry writing content, blogging, and have ran several successful blogs and youtube channels, but sitting behind a desk all day was not the life for me.

I've had a whole host of careers, why limit yourself to just one?

I've ran a dog walking business, been a house sitter, worked in a book store, managed a gym, worked in a vegan health cafe, and for one painful week I wrote blogs for a law firm advising people how to make claims for falls and trips.

In 2018 I attended a naming ceremony and discovered this thing called A Celebrant and I knew I just had to look into it. After extensive training and shadowing of other celebrants in my area, I received a Level 3 Diploma in Weddings and Namings from Civil Ceremonies Ltd and created Sunkissed Ceremonies ( named for my desire to perform weddings at sunset on a lovely beach somewhere sunny )

I currently live in Lancashire with the love of my life Rottweilers Roxy and Bear, my cat Tia, and also my partner Martin ( he's ok too! )

When I'm not writing scripts for upcoming ceremonies or planning a photoshoot or wedding, I am usually found with my nose in a book, or binge watching the latest Netflix drama.
